Streamlight's New SL-SideSaddle Compact Headlamp | thefirearmblog.com
I’m already a huge fan of Streamlight for their ProTac Rail Mount and TLR-1 series of weapon lights. As far as the more “budget” options go, I’ve found that Streamlight products offer a great combination of price, performance, and durability when compared to some of the more well-known or higher-end brands in the lighting market. Streamlight is excited to announce their new SL-SideSaddle compact headlamp. This headlamp is designed to mount to a wide variety of headgear, including regular hats, hard hats, and bump helmets, without interfering with visors, hearing protection, or other head-mounted accessories.
More From Streamlight @ TFB:
The SL-SideSaddle® is a hands-free lighting system that is lightweight and compact. It is designed to mount to a wide variety of hats, hard hats and safety helmets, integrating seamlessly without interfering with visors, hearing protection, or other accessories. Featuring two ultra-bright front LED with spot, flood and spot/flood combined beams, as well as a blue rear safety taillight allowing the user to see and be seen for increased safety. Both front and rear lights are programmable for function and output.
The SL-SideSaddle could be useful for both shooters and campers, or just everyday work around the house in the waning hours of the day. Unfortunately, Streamlight still doesn’t do direct sales on their website, but the SL-SideSaddle is available now through their network of authorized dealers. The USB version of the light is 3 inches long and 1.72 inches wide, with a height of 1.14 inches and a weight of 3.1 ounces. The alkaline version of the light measures 3 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and 1.14 inches tall, and weighs 3.4 ounces with batteries installed. The lights have MSRPs of $94.34 (USB) and $62.54 (alkaline) and are backed by Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
